Transfil Shimano Road Tandem Brake Cable Inner

Transfil’s bike cable technology benefits from the same research and innovation that has been developed when producing control cables for the French car industry. These specific cables are tailored to provide optimised performance and longevity when used with a tandem bike that’s equipped with Shimano drop bar brakes. A total of 19 individual wire strands make up these cables. They are compacted, smoothed and galvanised steel wires to ensure outstanding and consistent performance.

Technologies:

Transfil cables are composed of an inner core and an outer core. The inner core is composed of one steel thread surrounded by 6 threads making one strand. At this point, a simple strand or multi-strand cable can be produced. The composition of a single strand cable is (1+6) + 12 = 19 threads, and a multi-strand is (1+6) x 7 = 49 threads.
