Maxxis Minion DHR II Dual Compound Folding Tyre

The wide shoulder knobs on the Maxxis Minion DHR II 29 were borrowed from the legendary Minion DHF and then beefed up to make it ideal for rear wheel use. The centre tread section, however, is heavily ramped and sipped and provides extremely fast rolling prowess and braking traction.

With the central fast rolling section and beefed up side knobs, you have a tread pattern that enables extreme speed and riding stability across the roughest and unforgiving of trail conditions. The DHR is truly in a league of its own.

Technologies:

Dual Compound: Two compounds used within the tread of select tyres to offer lower rolling resistance and increased cornering grip.

TR (Tubeless Ready) Technology: Tubeless tyres provide the rider with many benefits: the ability to run lower air pressures, which improves traction; lower rolling resistance when compared to a tube-type tyre; and less chance of flatting since there is no tube. Maxxis Tubeless Ready (TR) tyres provide the benefits of a UST tubeless tyre without the weight penalty. Their TR tyres use a standard casing and require the use of a liquid sealant in order to make them airtight. Maxxis Tubeless Ready tyres are the only Maxxis tyres approved for use with liquid sealants.

EXO Protection Technology: An extremely cut-resistant and abrasion-resistant material added to the sidewalls of select mountain tyres. This densely woven fabric is also lightweight and highly flexible, ensuring that the tyre’s performance remains unaffected.
